With the addition of another player back in Windsor's line-up, the Spits beat the Sting 4-1.
Windsor was all over Sarnia in the first but Sting goalie Shayne Campbell stood on his head shutting down the Spits as the Spits out shot them 12-4.
Stephen Johnston started off the second period with a couple of amazing moves around the defender and the goalie to take a 1-0 lead. Moments later, Justin Shugg sniped one in. The Spits would continue to dominate as Eric Wellwood smacked in the rebound on the power play to end the period.
The third period started the way it has all game as Shugg potted his second of the game. Brandon Fransisco scored to break Troy Passingham's shut out but that wasn't enough to force a comeback as the Spits went on to win another one.
Today's In Play! Magazine player of the game goes to Johnston. In his second game back he scored a beautiful goal to start today's scoring off. He threw his weight around and looked a lot more comfortable with the team.
Johnston tells In Play! how he felt better today than last game, but he's still getting the hang of things.
“I'm still getting used to things. Some of the guys are helping me get threw this and I'm still learning the system.”
The Spits are at home on Thursday to take on the Owen Sound Attack. Game time starts at 7 p.m.
