Shipley of the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack has been added to the Team Orr roster while Aubry, who plays for the QMJHL’s Montreal Juniors, has been added to the roster for Team Cherry. Shipley, a 17-year-old from Ilderton, ON, has 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points in 44 games played in this his second OHL season with the Attack. He replaces an injured Brett Connolly of the Prince George Cougars. Aubry, an 18-year-old from Trois-Rivieres, QC, is playing in his second QMJHL season with the Juniors where he has compiled eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 41 games. He replaces an injured Kirill Kabanov of the Moncton Wildcats.
The CHL also announced the officiating crew for the event which includes referees Dave Lewis and TJ Luxmore, and linesmen Jesse Wilmot and Jordan Browne, all from the Ontario Hockey League.
Both Lewis and Luxmore are Level VI Hockey Canada officials with Lewis, a native of Oshawa, ON, currently skating in his sixth OHL season and fourth as a referee. Luxmore, from Waterloo, ON, is in his fourth OHL season and third as a referee. Wilmot is in his second OHL season and hails from Hamilton, ON, while Browne is in his third OHL season from Oshawa, ON.
Home Hardware continues as the title sponsor of the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game for the eleventh straight year. Associate sponsors include Bank of Montreal, Subway, and NeilMed. The game will be broadcast nationally live on Rogers Sportsnet and RDS.
