- Forward Eric Wellwood registered his third four-point game of the season and his sixth multi-point game of January as he scored one goal and added three assists in today’s game. He was selected as the third star of the game and has seven goals, and 11 assists for 18 points in eight January games
- Forward Justin Shugg scored two goals in today’s contest and became the fifth Spitfire to eclipse the 20-goal mark this season, joining Hall, Henrique, Nemisz and Wellwood in this group
- Forward Taylor Hall, the reigning CHL and OHL Player of the Week, registered one assist in tonight’s contest and has recorded at least one point in each of his past eleven games. He is ranked second in the OHL’s Scoring Race with 70 points in 40 games and is second in the OHL with 41 assists. Hall is also tied with teammate Adam Henrique for third in the OHL with 29 goals scored, with Greg Nemisz following closely behind, as he is tied for fifth with in the league with 28 goals
- Defenceman Marc Cantin returned to the lineup today after a two-game suspension and rearguard Cam Fowler returned to the lineup after missing one game due to illness. Forwards Greg Nemisz and Zack Kassian missed today’s game as they are currently serving suspensions
