Hockey Canada and USA Hockey today announced their National Junior team selection camp rosters which will help determine each team’s final roster for the 2010 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, to be hosted in Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan from December 26, 2009 – January 5, 2010. Windsor Spitfire forwards Taylor Hall, Greg Nemisz and Adam Henrique along with defenseman Ryan Ellis were selected to the 36 player roster for Team Canada’s National Junior selection camp being held from December 12-16, 2009 in Regina, Saskatchewan while Spitfire defenseman Cam Fowler and goaltender Jack Campbell were selected to Team USA’s 29 player roster for their National Junior selection camp hosted from December 17-19, 2009 in Grand Folks, North Dakota. The Windsor Spitfires led the CHL with four players being selected to the Team Canada camp.

Ryan Ellis is one seven players returning to Canada’s camp which won a gold medal for Team Canada at last year’s 2009 IIHF World Junior Championships in Ottawa. Taylor Hall will be making his second appearance at the National Junior selection camp while Greg Nemisz and Adam Henrique will be part of their first camp for Team Canada.Hockey Canada may still add additional players prior to the opening of the selection camp on December 12, in the event that any other NHL teams loan Canada’s National Junior Team junior-aged eligible players currently playing in the NHL.

TEAM CANADA SELECTION CAMP INFORMATION
Players and staff will travel to Regina on Saturday, December 12. There will be two red-white intrasquad games and one game against a team comprised of CIS players from the University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina.
Once the team is named at the conclusion of the selection camp in Regina, Canada’s National Junior Team will play in three pre-competition games prior to the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Canada will play its first game of the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship on Boxing Day, December 26 versus Latvia, a game that will be broadcast LIVE by TSN/RDS and on The FAN Radio Network (check local listings).
Canada has medaled at eleven straight IIHF World Junior Championships, including gold medal performances in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, silver medals in 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2004 and bronze medals in 2000 and 2001.
TEAM USA SELECTION CAMP INFORMATION
For Team USA, Cam Fowler will be making his second appearance at the Amercian National Junior Team camp. Fowler was one of nine players selected to the camp from the gold medal winning 2009 U.S National Under-18 Team in Fargo, North Dakota. Goaltender Jack Campbell, who was also a member of USA’s Under-18 gold medal squad, will be joining the Windsor Spitfires for the 2010 – 2011 season was also selected to Team USA’s camp.
Team USA’s training camp will be highlighted with an exhibition game against the University of North Dakota men's ice hockey team on Dec. 19. Following the camp, a reduced roster will be play the Czech Republic on Dec. 22 in Regina, Sask., in Team USA's final exhibition game.
TEAM USA NOTES: The final 2010 U.S. National Junior Team roster will be selected following Team USA's exhibition game against the Czech Republic ... Of the 29 invitees, 20 participated in the 2009 National Junior Evaluation Camp this past August.
