Spitfires’ Special Notes
- Forward Austin Watson scores two goals tonight, making him the seventh Spitfire to score at least 10 goals this season
- Forward Dale Mitchell scores two goals, including the game winning goal and he added one assist tonight. This was his second consecutive three-point game, as he scored one goal and registered two assists against the London Knights this past Thursday.
- Forward Derek Lanoue scored his first career OHL goal
- Goaltender Troy Passingham won his league leading 27th game of the season. He is also tied for second in the OHL with 3 shutouts and is ranked third in the league with a 2.38 goals against average.
- Spitfire players currently occupy six of the top ten spots in the OHL for plus/minus rating (1st Cundari +34, 3rd Fowler +26, tied for 4th Henrique, Wellwood and Hall +25, tied for 7th Young +24)
- Three Spitfires are ranked in the top ten for the OHL Scoring Race (1st Hall – 59 points, 3rd - Henrique – 53 points, tied for 7th – Nemisz – 48 points)
- Forwards Taylor Hall, Greg Nemisz, Adam Henrique and defenseman Ryan Ellis are currently out of the lineup for the Spitfires as they are playing for Team Canada at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. Forward Richard Panik is also participating in the world championship as a member of Team Slovakia.
- Defenseman Cam Fowler and forward Kenny Ryan are currently attending the Team USA World Junior Selection Camp
