(Windsor) Centre Adam Henrique is the Precision Jewellers and Windsor Spitfires Player of the Month for November as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff. Henrique led the team in scoring for the month with 12 goals and 19 points and posted a +10 plus/minus rating in ten games played as the defending 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup Champions finished with a perfect 10-0 record in November.

Henrique scored goals in eight of ten games and registered at least one point in all but one game during the month, including six multi-point games. He also recorded three multi-goal games and posted three point performances against the Kitchener Rangers on November 6th, the Plymouth Whalers on November 12th and the Guelph Storm on November 22nd. Additionally, Henrique was selected as the first star of the games against the Rangers and the Whalers.

Henrique, a 19 year-old native of Burford, Ontario, was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He is in his fourth season with the Windsor Spitfires and was recently invited as one of 36 players to attend Team Canada’s National Junior selection camp to determine Canada’s final roster for the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championships in Saskatchewan.

Henrique recently represented Team OHL at the 2009 SUBWAY® Super Series games in Windsor and Barrie, Ontario. He scored the game winning goal in the OHL’s first game of the series, as he led Team OHL to a 5-2 victory over Team Russia on November 19th in Barrie. Henrique was also selected as the OHL and Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week for the week ending October 4th.

Henrique currently leads the OHL in goals scored with 25 and is tied for third in the league’s scoring race with 45 points in 28 games. He is also ranked third in the OHL with a +25 plus/minus rating.

Prior to the commencement of a Spitfires home game in December, Henrique will receive a Bulova watch from Dan Thomas of Precision Jewellers for his outstanding performance in November.
