Windsor eliminated Erie with a four game sweep today as they beat the Otters 5-1.
Taylor Hall started off the scoring for Windsor to get a great start to game four. But Anthony Luciani answered back with a goal of his own as it seemed we were in for another nail biter. However Eric Wellwood put one in and the Spits would not look back from there. Hall would add another goal for Windsor to go into the second.
Scott Timmins started off the second with a short handed goal as Windsor was now in a dominating lead and had all the momentum. Adam Wallace then scored a beautiful wrap-around goal and that was enough for a Spitfire victory and sweep.
Harry Young let loose tonight. He is considered one of, if not the best fighters in the OHL and tonight he got in two scraps. After not fighting in the whole series tonight he let loose and fought Luciani and Jeremy Gottzmann. This could be a good intimidation factor for Windsor going into the next and later rounds.
Tonight's In Play! Magazine player of the game is Zack Kassian. He had a three assist night and was another big intimidation. Although this is nothing new but it still is a factor in every game.
Windsor now waits for the Sault Ste. Marie and Plymouth series to finish to see who they will play. Plymouth currently leads the series 3-1 as they will play game five tomorrow in Plymouth.
