Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the complete schedule for the first round of the 2010 OHL Playoffs beginning Thursday March 18, 2010.
After 680 regular season games, the top 16 teams have qualified for the OHL Playoffs with the top eight Eastern Conference teams competing for the Bobby Orr Trophy and the top eight Western Conference teams competing for the Wayne Gretzky Trophy. The conference champions will then compete for the J. Ross Robertson Trophy with the winner representing the OHL at the MasterCard Memorial Cup in Brandon, MB, May 14-23.
The post-season begins with the defending OHL and MasterCard Memorial Cup Champions the Windsor Spitfires in action Thursday March 18 at 7:05 pm when they host the Erie Otters. The Hamilton Spectator Trophy winners the Barrie Colts also begin their playoff schedule that night when they host the Sudbury Wolves at 7:30 pm. All other playoff series’ begin Friday night, March 19th.
