The Spitfires added a veteran scorer for the stretch run on Sunday, acquiring 19-year-old centre Taylor Carnevale from the Barrie Colts.
In exchange, Windsor sent C/W Eric Locke and goalie Josh Malecki to Barrie.
"We just felt like things really changed as the deadline progressed," said Spitfires GM Warren Rychel. "This was a tough trade given that Locke was a real up-and-coming player. But getting a proven scorer like Carnevale was a must."
Carnevale has had a couple big seasons in Barrie.
Last year, he put up 28 goals and 31 assists in 67 games. In 33 games this season, he has 24 goals and 21 assists.
In three-plus seasons with Barrie, Oshawa and Plymouth, Carnevale has 71 goals and 86 assists in 225 games.
