Windsor Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel announced today that the team has traded veteran defenceman Craig Duininck to the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Sarnia ’s 2nd round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Draft, Guelph ’s 5th round pick in 2012 as well as Sarnia ’s 14th pick in 2012.

“I’d like to thank Craig for everything he’s done for the Spitfires Organization,” said Rychel. “He’s a solid player and a stand up citizen on and off the ice. Obviously this is a part of the rebuilding process for Windsor and we hope this trade will help him have the chance to win another Memorial Cup.”
Duininck currently has 3 goals and 5 points this season and a career total of 39 points in 141 games played in Windsor . Craig also helped the Spitfires win their second MasterCard Memorial Cup Championship in 2010.
