Sutherland Global Services and Windsor Spitfires Tyke Hockey Tournament to Benefit the Mickey Renaud Memorial Scholarship Fund

(Windsor) In conjunction with Sutherland Global Services, the Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce the introduction of the inaugural Sutherland Global Services and Windsor Spitfires Tyke Hockey Tournament to be held on Family Day in Windsor on Monday, February 15 from 2 – 4 pm at the Green shield Rink of the WFCU Centre. The tournament is a fundraising event which will allow the children from the McDonald’s Little Spits Tyke Program to participate in games at the WFCU Centre with Spitfire players acting as guest referees for the event. All participating children will also have the opportunity to have lunch with Spitfire players following the conclusion of their game.

Each player participating in the event will make a $20 donation to the Sutherland Global Services - Mickey Renaud Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund awards $3,000 to a male and female athlete in Windsor, Essex County or Chatham-Kent. The money being raised at the Sutherland Global Services and Windsor Spitfires Tyke Hockey Tournament will allow scholarship recipients to apply for additional funding throughout their college career.

Co-sponsors from McDonald’s Restaurants and Parker Construction will also be making financial contributions and in-kind donations to the scholarship fund.
