“Meet the Spitfires Dinner” on February 15th, Sponsored by CAMM with Proceeds to Benefit the Sutherland Global Services Mickey Renaud Memorial Scholarship Fund

(Windsor) The Canadian Association of Mold Makers (CAMM) and Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce that CAMM will be hosting a special “Meet the Spitfires” dinner on Family Day in Windsor on Monday, February 15th at the Serbian Centre. Prior to the dinner, the Windsor Spitfires will be offering people with tickets to the event the chance to watch the Spits practice at 10 am on February 15th at the WFCU Centre with tours of the WFCU Centre being conducted by CAMM and the Spitfires at 3 pm. After the tours, a pre-dinner reception for the “Meet the Spitfires” dinner will be hosted at the Serbian Centre starting at 4:30 pm. Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm with Windsor Spitfire President and Head Coach Bob Boughner serving as the keynote speaker for the event, and selected Spitfire players will be on hand to sign autographs for fans.

Tickets are $25 for students, $30 for adults with family four packs being offered for $100. To purchase tickets, please contact Diane Deslippe from the CAMM office at diane@camm.ca. Tickets can also be purchased from the Motor City Community Credit Union locations at 189 City Hall Square, 895 Erie Street East, 1375 Walker Road and 6701 Tecumseh Road East in Windsor.

Bob Boughner offered the following comment on the event, “it’s great that our team has the opportunity to participate in the Meet the Spitfires dinner with CAMM to help benefit the Sutherland Global Services Mickey Renaud Memorial Scholarship Fund. This event is the second one that we are involved in on Family Day to benefit this fund and we would like to thank the Canadian Association of Mold Makers for offering us with yet another chance to honour Mickey and create additional funds for the scholarship program. Bob will share his insight and motivation that afforded him the opportunity to enjoy a successful NHL career. Together with his partners Warren Rychel, Peter Dobrich and the whole Spitfire organization, Bob led the Windsor Spitfires to the 2009 Memorial Cup Championship last season. With the playoffs just around the corner and the opportunity for back to back championships, Bob will share some insight into the challenges of repeating as champions. Bob will also re-enforce to the children and students in attendance, the importance of education and how education has permitted Bob to become a prominent successful business man in his post NHL career. The proceeds of this event will also allow the Global Sutherland Mickey Renaud Scholarship Fund to offer post secondary education assistance for many years to come,” said Dan Moynahan, President of CAMM
