- The CHL’s #3 ranked team loses their first game in their past six. They still lead the OHL with 87 points on the strength of a 41-8-0-5 record
- Erie defeats Windsor for the first time in four matchups this season
- Forward Adam Henrique scores his 30th goal of the season as he opened the scoring for the Spits. With his 30th goal, Henrique matches his career high for goals in a season as he scored 30 in 2008-2009 and joins Taylor Hall as the only Spitfires to have scored 30 goals to this point in the season. Henrique is ranked 15th in the OHL with 59 points in 41 games, tied for eighth in the OHL with 30 goals and 13th in plus-minus rating with a +27.
- Defenseman Ryan Ellis registered one assist tonight and extends his point streak and assist streak to seven consecutive games and is also ranked seventh amongst all OHL defencemen with 41 points in 36 games.
- Forward Scott Timmins recorded two assists tonight and is currently on a four game point streak, with three of these games being multi-point performances. He has four goals and six assists during this streak.
- Forward Justin Shugg scored one goal tonight and has scored in each of his past four games. He has five goals and three assists in his past four games
- Defenseman Marc Cantin scored his first goal as a member of the Spitfires tonight
- The Spitfires scored two powerplay goals in tonight’s game on three opportunities. Windsor leads the OHL in powerplay efficiency, operating at a 26.9% clip. They have scored at least one powerplay goal in 16 of their past 17 games
- Windsor killed both their penalties tonight and are ranked fourth in the league with a 83.9% penalty killing efficiency
- Spitfires forward Taylor Hall and defenseman Cam Fowler missed tonight’s game with the flu. The Spits are also without Dale Mitchell due to injury and Zack Kassian due to suspension
