SPITS MAKE IT SEVEN IN A ROW

By Chris Lucas

The Windsor Spitfires have won their seventh straight game and have took a 3-0 lead over Barrie in the OHL finals.

There was no scoring in the first period from either of the teams. Which brings us to the second which was nothing like the first. Justin Shugg capitalized on the power play putting the first goal of the game in. Then Adam Henrique potted back-to-back goals to take a 3-0 lead. But as we should know thus far, no one is out of any game or any series. Zac Rinaldo scored in his first game back from suspension. Then Stefan Della Rovere scored right after to bring them within one goal. But Scott Timmins would shut down all Barrie momentum with a break away goal and that would cap off the second period.

Adam Henrique scored his hat-trick goal in the third to give Windsor the 5-2 victory.
Towards the end of the game, Barrie started playing dirty starting multiple fights and running Philipp Grubauer behind the net.

Head Coach of Barrie Marty Williamson, tells In Play! how he feels about Grubauer getting run.
“I don't like it. You don't like to see those things in a game, it's a frustrating game and you just want to make sure no one gets hurt on a play like that.”

Ever since being down 3-0 to Kitchener last series. The Windsor Spitfires have not lost. They have now won seven straight and don't look like their ready to lose.
Adam Henrique, Windsor Spitfire forward, explains to In Play! how they played tonight.
“I think we started this game out flat. In the second period we picked up our play and things started rolling.”
Tonight's In Play! Magazine player of the game goes to Henrique. He had three goals tonight including one short handed one. His goals were scored at important times of the game and that helped the Spits defeat the Colts.

Head Coach of the Windsor Spitfires Bob Boughner, tells In Play! how he continues to be impressed with Henrique's play.
“It was a tough call in the Memorial Cup last year for MVP. I mean Henny (Henrique) dominated, Taylor (Hall) dominated. Henny's one of those players that just elevates his game at playoff time. He does so many little things right and that's why he's successful and that's why he's going to have a successful career. He never takes a short cut.”

The Spits play game four and go for the sweep on Tuesday. Game time starts at 7 p.m.
