Campbell, an 18 year-old native of Port Huron, Michigan is in his first season with the Spitfires. The 6’2”, 182 pound netminder is the reigning player of the week for the Spitfires and has won his past four starts in goal for Windsor. In 12 games played this season, he has a 6-5-0-1 record, a 3.81 goals against average and .882 save percentage.

Prior to joining the Spitfires, Campbell played a major role in backstopping Team USA to a gold medal performance at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Saskatchewan. He also won gold medals as part of Team USA’s Under-18 squads at the IIHF World Men’s Under-18 Championships in 2009 and 2010. Campbell is one of only two players in USA Hockey history to have won three IIHF gold medals during his career.

Campbell will play the remainder of this season with the Spitfires and is expected to attend the Stars’ 2011 Summer Development Camp and the team’s 2011 Training Camp.
