(Windsor) Last night, the Moncton Wildcats defeated the St. John Sea Dogs 7-4 to win the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s President Cup title in six games and were the last of four teams to qualify for the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup tournament. The Calgary Hitmen, winners of the Ed Chynoweth Cup as champions of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the host Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL will also participate in the 92nd edition of the MasterCard Memorial Cup.
The Windsor Spitfires, champions of the Ontario Hockey League and winners of the Robertson Cup for the second consecutive season, will look to defend their 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup title starting on Friday, May 14th at 8 pm EST when they take on the Brandon Wheat Kings in the tournament’s opening game. Windsor’s schedule for the entire tournament is as follows:
