(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced the selection of defenceman Grant Webermin with Windsor’s first round pick, 20th overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection conducted online at ontariohockeyleague.com. Webermin, listed at 6’0” and 160 pounds, scored 2 goals and 13 points to go along with 62 penalty minutes in 32 games played with the Detroit Honeybaked U16’s Minor-Midget team.
In addition to acquiring Webermin, the Windsor Spitfires also selected 10 forwards, 3 defencemen and one goaltender in today’s draft.
“I think we had a good draft day and our scouting staff did a tremendous job in selecting talented players to build our team in the future. I’m very proud of every player that we have drafted, they all have a chance to play on our team someday,” said Warren Rychel.
