Spitfires Successful Season Generates Yet Another “Record” Donation!!

Kin Club of Windsor Donates Over $15,000
To Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

(Windsor) During a pre-game presentation at yesterday’s Spitfire home game versus the Belleville Bulls, the Kin Club of Windsor presented the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF) - Windsor Chapter, with a cheque for $15,550. Annually, the Kin Club of Windsor donates $50 for every regular season goal scored by the Spitfires and the Spits scored 311 goals as a team last season.

David Falcioni – Current Deputy Governor and Past President of the Kin Club of Windsor and his son Logan were on hand to provide 9 year old Virginia Kondratowicz, a local CF child and her family, representing the CCFF Windsor Chapter, with the largest ever donation provided as a result of this program.

The Kin Club of Windsor and CCFF also presented Spitfire forward Taylor Hall with a trophy for having led the team in goals scored last year with 38.

“The Windsor Spitfires are proud to again be partnered with the Kin Club of Windsor and CCFF in this wonderful program,” commented Windsor Spitfires President and Head Coach Bob Boughner. “The Kin Club of Windsor is a great supporter of CCFF and we will try to score as many goals as we can to help raise additional funds for CCFF this season.”

Current Kin Club of Windsor President, Dennis Stutt, who was also in attendance, said “we are thrilled to be involved with this unique fund raising arrangement and this year we are ‘Back for More’ as the Spits strive to attain back to back Memorial Cup championships”.

The Kinsmen Club of Windsor has been serving the Windsor community for 78 years and has now donated well over $100,000 to CCFF specifically as a result of their “Goals for CF” partnership with the Windsor Spitfires.
