Friendly wager with Sudbury MP Glenn Thibeault
[WINDSOR]—Brian Masse (Windsor-West) an avid Spitfires fan is always willing to put his time and energy on the line for his favourite OHL team. After overhearing caucus-mate Glenn Thibeault (Sudbury) bragging about his Sudbury Wolves, Masse challenged Thibeault to a friendly wager the next time they met the reigning Memorial Cup Champs—Thibeault happily but perhaps not wisely accepted.
“It’s a good thing Glenn is a great Parliamentarian because he will never make a living as a sports handicapper” Masse commented.
The Spits will take on the Wolves this Monday October 12th at the WFCU Centre, the puck drops at 3 pm. Terms of the wager stipulate that the MP representing the riding of the losing team will spend an hour serving patrons at Dirty Jersey’s Sports Grill located on Tecumseh Rd. E not far from the WFCU Centre.
“Dirty Jersey’s gets pretty busy for Spits games. I hope Glenn wears sensible shoes.”
