Windsor Spitfires Acquire Brown from Oshawa

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced that the team has acquired overage forward Jeff Brown from the Oshawa Generals. Brown, a 20 year-old native of Toronto, ON is listed at 6’1” and 202 pounds.

In exchange, the Spitfires have sent a fourth round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection to the Generals.

This season, Brown has 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points and 56 penalty minutes in 25 games with Oshawa.

“This move solidifies our squad; Brown is a gritty and experienced player who will provide our club with scoring, toughness and leadership. He’s a great addition to our team for the rest of the season and also for our playoff run. Brown is a tough player to play against and will become a fan favourite here in Windsor,” said Warren Rychel.

Brown will be playing in today’s game against the Erie Otters and will be wearing #11.
