Michael Clarke and Kerby Rychel each had four points, as the upstart Spitfires erased three Sarnia leads on their way to a 7-5 win over the Sting, before 5,881 at the WFCU Centre on Sunday afternoon.
Rychel scored twice (37, 38), Clarke had a goal (14) and three assists and 11 different Spits hit the scoresheet, including John Bowen with his first-ever OHL point.
On his 18th birthday, Brady Vail scored the game winner, his 20th of the season, at 12:39 of the third period.
Jaroslav Pavelka made 25 saves for the win.
The Spits trailed 2-0, but goals by Stephen Alonge (4) and Zack MacQueen (18) in a 1:15 span of the first period got the Spits even at 2-2.
Rychel tied the game twice: at 3-3 at the 8:33 mark of the second and again at 5-5 just 50 seconds into the third period. The goal chase Brandon Hope from the game in favour of JP Anderson.
But he faired no better.
Vail's winner came on a 2-on-1, on which he faked a slapper before roofing one past JP Anderson.
Rychel later set up Ben Johnson's empty-net goal (16) at 19:45 to round out the scoring.
